Tag: Things That I Love About My Friends :)

"Friendship is always a sweet responsibilty, never an oppourtunity."
- Kahil Gibran

Hey there :)

So this isn't really a tag, but I thought of listing down all the reasons why I love my lunatic friends because well, everyone likes to feel loved and appreciated :)

Sorry if I sound drunk or anything. I slept at 6am and woke up at 2pm. Btw, learning new songs on le piano! :D And picking up the guitar again, though I suck at it. HAHA.

"A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words." -Author Unknown (meaning I forgot. HAHA)

The first thing that comes to mind when I think about my friends is INSANE. Pure ridiculous, hilarious insanity.

My friends are crazy, that is true.
But the fact is, I am too.

Whuutt Maine. Whuut.

The thing is, I love having people I can go crazy with and not have them judge me for being silly.
Making retarded-asian jokes (not racist jokes, it means retardation-accelaration from our Maths textbook.), private jokes that some people don't get because it doesn't make any sense, getting high on oxygen and going drunk with Chinese tea, singing songs like "Oppa Rangers Style" and "Clenching My Booty" by the roadside, dancing ridiculously but still having the ability to laugh at oneself, waving at people in their cars,  stealing people's food, laughing and smiling for absolutely no reason and doing weird things that we all will remember for the rest of our lives because it's just THAT unforgettable.

Number two: How FUNNY they are: Laughter.
For example: Esther always manages to say the wrong thing by accident and making it sound completely hilarious. HAHA. You know what I mean ;) Ehem.
Cheryl's marvelous "I'm Fabulous" and finger snaps.
And the rest of them has their weird jokes, funny laughs, blur expressions and so many countless things that makes them part of "the gang"
Laughing till our sides ache and doing silly things that brightens me day.

Number three: How comfortable we are talking to people we don't know (very well) or know very well or bleh bleh bleh. TOO comfortable for them to handle :P

The number of times people stare at us when we talk to them because we all talk at the same time and confuse the blimes out of them by rattling oh like:
Cheryl: Bleh bleh bleh RM 10 only! Bleh bleh bleh.
(At the same time)
Aijean: Bleh bleh bleh VERY CHEAP you must come!
Joanne: Come come come!
Megan: very cheap only, and fun, bleh bleh bleh.
Esther: Come come very fun wan trust me, got chocolate la, got cake and bleh bleh bleh.
While I'm either talking at the same time or laughing at the bemused expression on that poor person's face.

Number four: The way we end up saying the same thing at the same time and get each other's jokes. Sense of humour :D

Me: Do I look fat in this dress?
Everyone else: Hell yeah you do!
And we laugh because we know that's not an insult.

Okay that makes no sense if you haven't heard "Nice Guys"

Number five: I like how we're comfortable with our body images, and accept each other for who we are rather than what we look like. BUTT weight, we still wanna try stuff out like dyeing our hair weird colors. HAHA.
With exception of "I can see my tummy" and etc, because that's normal for girls.
Jeans has a fascinating mole on her face and she's "purdy" (pretty HAHA) and unique in her own way.
Orange has very nice shiny hair.
Joy has GINORMOUS eyes that are light brown. Kinda like Shawn but let's not talk about him. HAHA.
Megan, like my Mum says, has Cantonese beauty. Though I've no idea what Cantonese people are supposed to look like, I agree with her.
Cheryl has a nice smile :) Hehe.

I don't know why they think they ain't prettiez sometimes. Pimple? Big deal, it'll be gone in a few days. protruding tummy? Aiyah, exercise a bit, cut down on fatty food and it'll poof!! just like that in a while. Broad shoulders? Hardly noticeable.

The thing is, why focus on the negative aspects of your body when you have a wonderful personality and   features that make you unique? Not to say that I'm not negative about my body image sometimes, but I don't obsess over it either. Which means if you get plastic surgery and end up looking like a mannequin, I will KILL you because mannequins scare me. not literally but yeah :)

Number six: The way we sing , even if it's incredibly off-tune, for fun and not give a dime about what people think of us.
Yes, I do mean all those times in the van/car/bus/room, where you make me deaf but make me laugh as well :P

Number seven: Setting good examples for each other.
Person in charge of whatever: Don't leap from the bridge! Just swim only. (in Malay)
Friend: Wait..wait. Okay he's gone! Let's jump again!
Okay, bad example.

Number eight: The things we haz in common.
Noting how we always understand each other's weirdness and blimey-craziness and go along with it.

Number nine: The way they cheer me up when I'm down or thinking deep thoughts.
Granted, I don't hear what they say sometimes, but I'm always grateful for their concern :)

Number ten: Wanting to go out in the world and do crazy stuff like bungee-jumping and skydiving.
What's life without a little bit of spice? :P

Number eleven: Understanding each other's fears and hopes.

Number twelve: The random hugs.
Yeah, I know, that emotional bitter-sweet moment when we have group hugs :)

Number thirteen: Always encouraging each other to be a better person.

Number fourteen: Unwavering loyalty.

Number fifteen: Always willing to forgive each others mistakes.

Number sixteen: Being truthful and giving honest opinions.

Number seventeen: Making my life far more fun and exciting :)

"My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me."
- Henry Ford

I feel that it's best to point out that despite all their good characteristics and such, they aren't angels: they have flaws and make mistakes just like everyone else. Friends don't have to be perfect in every sense, they just have to be right for you :)

"The best way to keep your friends is not to give them away."
- Wilson Mizner

One thing that I have to constantly remind myself of is to never EVER take my friends for granted. Friends aren't meant to be your companionship slaves or people to pass your free time with, they're the ones you share your hidden thoughts and secrets desires with and trust Never take your friends for granted, because when you lose them, you'll just realize that you've lost something valuable and there might be a chance that you'll never get it back.

"Friends are born, not made."
- Henry Adams

It doesn't matter how you met your friends, I mean, I have no memory of the day I met my friends.
I just remember all those good times :) because that's what matters the most.
"A good friend is hard to find, hard to lose, and impossible to forget..."

"Time isn't what makes a friendship last...It's love and devotion that keeps the tie between souls."
- Sent by Christina

They say that a friend is someone who knows everything about you, but still loves you for who you are. If you want a friend like that, you have to BE a friend like that first.
What comes around, goes around.

Don't judge people for their flaws, try to look at the good side of them. It may not be much, but still, that person isn't as horrible as you might have portrayed them to be.
It's true that sometimes, when I'm especially evil, I judge and hate people. And you know what? it makes me feel sick that I can be such a despicable person and yet still be able to judge other people for their flaws.

You can correct your own flaws if you try hard enough to. It won't be easy, but it's possible.
But you can't change other people's flaws by criticizing them and gossiping about them.

So yeah, appreciate friendship :) Blah blah blah. You understand.

Note: This post WILL be updated if I can think of anything more :) I'll let you know when I do.
